Sketch - Character 013 by LuanMonta Sketch - Character 013 by LuanMonta

This is the first sketch of a series I intend to do this year. My goal is to submit a sketch of a different character (human or not) in diferent poses whenever possible. I will use any techniques, always trying to create simple and fluid drawings. My idea is to avoid sophisticated details and use only a few colors. It's just to keep practicing. I used to do something similar when I was younger, so here I am doing it again!

PS: Before anyone says a word about it, I know this character is historically innacurate, that his clothes have not the correct colors and represent many different periods ans styles. I just wanted to mix some cliche characteristics of a trobadour/minstrel/medieval person and create something like a tawdry carnival costume. Bizarre,I know... That said, it was pretty funny to do it, since I've followed no models. Sometimes innacuracy is what we need to create something new and vivid, accurate only according to our own minds and creativity :) I had the idea for it while watching Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg.
